Off for some Sporting Clays
3 Attachment(s)
I was getting ready to head out for some shooting today. I hadn't posted any pictures of this Grade 2 top-lever hammer gun I bought over the summer from a PGCA member. I also just got the case for it.
Anyway, as I was getting ready I had to take a few pictures. If I do my part we should have a good day shooting... Jay |
mighty nice...don t think i could concentrate on shooting for looking at this gun...charlie

Had a good day of shooting yesterday. I recently moved from North Carolina to Rhode Island and this was my first time shooting since the move. A beautiful fall day and this Parker shot very well. As is usually the case most(if not all) of my misses were me and not the gun.

glad you had a great day of shooting....it has really been some fine days here too....charlie

Man, just look at the pattern on those barrels!

Jay, where did you go in RI for sporting clays? (I hope he says Addieville)
I'd really like to see that gun up close some day. . |
I did go to Addieville! I hadn't been there in 7-8 years. It was just as nice as I remembered and I can't wait to go back. It is definitely one of my favorite sporting clays places and I have also done a few preserve hunts there in the past(which I am looking forward to as well now that I am back in the area).
This "new" hammer gun is the nicest 12 gauge I have. It was made 1885, and the barrels have been redone at some point. It was a nice addition to my collection and confirmation that my Parker addiction is getting worse... |
Jay,
That is an excellent example of a hammer gun that anyone would be proud to own. |
