Parker Pages Winter 2015 Issue
Today, being September 15, reminds me that there is exactly one month until the deadline for submissions for the Winter 2015 Issue.
Because the deadline falls right in the middle of grouse and woodcock season I'd like to receive contributions of material as early as possible because I would much rather be in the woods with Grace and a Parker than to be sitting at a desk worrying if I'll have enough material to fill the issue. So please have mercy on me and finish up your articles and stories and get them to me as soon as you can. See page 40 of the most recent issue for "Suggestions for Contributors to Parker Pages". Thanks very much - Dean . |
You just get finished and you have to start all over again!!
You have mine already. |

I had a pleasant surprise in this last issue of the Pages that arrived just in time to take out to moose camp and read while sitting on the river. I think that could have been the first bird I ever shot with that shotgun and certainly the first ruffie. Bob is now retired and living in Hawaii and has a pineapple stand at the head of his driveway. And I even saw a small bull moose while hunting, amidst the rain and snow and fog.

If you gave an extra week or so, we could have a report from the Fall Southern.
|
Unfortunately the last day of the Fall Classic is Oct 25... fully ten days after the deadline for submissions. I don't see how we could include it in this issue.
If somebody wants to take the responsibility to write the article and include some Large Format, high resolution pictures and get it all to me on the 26th we'll see if it can be included... but my best guess would be "probably not." It's not only my schedule and that of Parker Pages but it is also contingent upon Village Press' schedule too. We are only one small customer. They already bend over backwards for us and often go way beyond what we contract them to do, and we're very thankful for their treatment of ou account. Best, Dean . |
Thanks very much to those who have sent their articles and stories. It's shaping up to be a good issue!
Just about two weeks to go so those who are still working on a technical article or a story - please get it to me by the 15th of October. If you're having trouble, please send me a PM or email dsromig@aol.com and I'll help in any way I can. . |
Hey Dean--------It would be nice to get the last issue before the next comes out !!! Usually I am one of the first to receive the PP.
