Ithaca Super 10
Super 10 is up and running, thanks to PGCA members Tom Carter, Danny Patton and all the Short 10 load posters. Buttstock was oil soaked and a few cracks. Tang screw was too small, probably a replacement from a Ithaca 12 G and no doubt caused the crack. Tom made a new one that fit perfectly. Danny soaked out the oil glued the cracks and brought it all up to standard.
Opps photos did not post, try it again It's a nice handling 10 G. Weight is mostly barrel, modern stock dim's. Look at it beside my Trojan 16 G 1 frame. Frame on the 16 Parker is larger than the Ithaca 10. I guess that's good, don't know, light loads It ought to stand up to shooting fine. Had it out on the clays range Sat, short 10 loads from the forum do a fine job. 1 1/8 oz 7 1/2 22.5 Green dot. Remington SP 10 Wad with a 16 G fiber filler. Three other shooters with me all used new 12's, even lightly loaded the 10 is impressive breaking clays compared to 12's Rather have a Parker 32 inch Hammerless 10 but this one will do fine until the right Parker comes along.
