Help with Unusual gun.
I recently came to own a double barrel, what appears to be muzzle loading, 32 in barrel shotgun. It is stamped Parker on both sides, and the barrels are stampled "Fine London Twist." It does have, of course two hammers, and is also double triggered. The flats are stamped with a 12 and another stamp which I cannot discern. Any help figuring out what exactly this is would be greatly appreciated. Stock is engraved with a checked pattern, as well, if that helps.

Unfortunately, your gun is not one of the guns that is studied by our members. The guns of interest to PGCA members are breechloaders made by Parker Brothers in Meriden, CT. You may get some information on the forums at doublegunshop.com

The gun you have is an English made double gun and is not the same as our Parkers that are made in Ct. I have one of those muzzle loading guns. It is confusing.

Is there any place that would be helpful in finding information on this maker, or any info at all on this piece? Trying to find information so I can list it on my homeowners insurance.

No website would be helpful if you don't post pictures.

Adam: You might try looking your gun up in "English Gunmakers Volumes I & II" by Nigel Brown or in Geoffrey Boothroyd's book. If it's an English gun it will probably be in one or both. If not it's probably Belgian.
