Siver or Gold plate on side of Buttstock
 

I was wondering if members that have posted pictures in the past of Silver or Gold plates that where engraved with owners names or were special ordered guns given as trophy's, etc. These would be the larger oval plates inlaid into the side of the buttstock. Tried search but had no luck. Would like to see a few if possible. Did find a couple in the Parker Story.

Wildwood Guns in China, ME had one for a few years. I don't know if they still have it. It had a gold plaque made to look like an unfurled scroll. It was an award for a competition shooter of the day. It was a D-Grade with straight grip and long barrels. It sure had seen some extensive use.
