Mystery .410 Barrels
Hello guys,
A friend of mine bought these .410 barrels for me and I haven't a clue as to who made them. I am hoping someone here has seen a simular set. and can clue me in as to the manufacturer. The only marking is serial number 8835. Thanks in advance, Ken |
I owned and sold two Cresent Davis .410 Shotguns. They were not well made but shot OK. Your barrels look like those. They were made 1929 -1935

Pat,
Thanks for the info. Ken |
Ken, if you can show me a close up of the lugs, and any markings, I can tell you what gun they go with.

Brad,
I hope the pictures are good enough, if not let me know and I will try again. The 8835 is the only marking that I can find. Thanks for any help, Ken |
The simple, square locking lug, short top lug, and forearm lug, tell me that they are most likely from a Cresent Fire Arms shotgun. Cresent produced shotguns under over 100 different names. They were one of the few to build economical 410's. N.R Davis guns have different style lugs.
Its a shame that you dont have the rest of the gun, they are fun to shoot. Brad |
Brad,
Thanks for the response! I guess I will have to look for a Cresent arms .410 with blown barrels. Thanks, Ken |
I have a Cresent Fire Arms Quail Hammerless .410 and the lugs are nothing like the lugs that are on your bbls. No doubt the ones they made for N R Davis are different.

Gordon,
Thanks for your reply. I was at the the Reno gun show today and saw a Cresent .410 hammerless side by side for sale and asked the owner if I could see the barrels, which he kindly did and they did not have the same type lugs. If this a Cresent set of barrels it must be a particular model. Ken |
