rechambering a gun

I am considering rechambering a gun and looking for a good smith to do it? I called Briley and was told 6-8 weeks. They owe me a favor, so talked to the gunsmith manager and he told me the best they could actually do was 16- 18 weeks! The 6-8 weeks must be the standard answer. UGG. Has anyone had this done by someone?

David, exactly what do you mean by "rechambering"? Going from one gauge to another?

Dean
Yes, going from a 12a to a 16a. I have tried the thin wall inserts but do not like them
