Point Of Impact question
If a Parker shotgun has lost 4" off the end of the barrels, will p.o.i. be off in a terrible way?
Just wanted a few opinions before I commit to the gun. Thanks. |
define "TERRIBLE"
i doubt it, but the only way to know for sure is fire it at a mark |
Oh I don't know about 'terrible.' Maybe too strong of a word. I know the patterns won't hit the same point like an uncut gun would.
Maybe there might be a few inches of separation? Does anyone on the board have a Parker missing 4" of barrel length? Maybe I should have read the 'DHE-16' thread first. The Parker Gun I.D. & Serial book I have says the barrels are supposed to be 4" longer than they are. Maybe the order book and a letter may say different? |

Regardless... I have a Parker with the barrels shortened 4" by the Parker factory and it prints about 8" high at thirty yards. |
