Would these barrels be saveable possibly or too far gone?

I am not looking at buying this gun, but stumbled upon on my lunch break. I am always amazed at what condition guns can be restored from--IE the chicken coop parker.

So would this gun be salvageable or would most of you gents assume the barrels were too far gone?

Again not interested in buying, just enhancing my education.

What do the bores look like
And what does the wall thickness measure out at

Of the cuff if the bores and the solder are good - most likely salvageable

Cost effective? is another separate issue

No idea Rick, the guy on GB says the bores are good with a little pitting, nothing about barrel thickness. I was just curioius with the level of corrosion especially on the end of the barrels if it looked too far gone regardless of the insides of the bore.

the muzzle ends do look particularly bad -

but IMHO - you cannot evaluate a barrel independent of the bores

personally - this Trojan would need to be nearly free - and you would need to be able to do much the work yourself to make it worthwhile

which is a shame -- it looks like it was a nice condition gun before this (poor storage) accident happened

Parts gun.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. Not to mention it has also had the but cut and a wonky pad put on it.

Again, wasn't actually looking to buy, just trying to increase my knowledge base. Thanks for the time gentlemen.

Saveable? Salvageable perhaps. If sufficient thickness, buy for $200 max, wire wheel rust, soak in Brownells Steel White. A little draw filing where thick enough, apply POR 15 in flat black. Rework wood. Rainy day gun. Sell for half of what you have in it. That's all it probably could ever be all together.

I never met an abandoned bird dog or Parker I did not want to bring home to see it's potential; but one has to know their limit.
