Webley Scott 700

Could not resist this 16 gauge given solid condition and price. BLE, 28", 2 1/2 chambers, period pad, choked about IC/IC with a rough gage. Fit me and pattered the way you would want a gun to. Made in 1956 with a 3 Ton proofs.
Shot a round plus of skeet and we bonded.

We recently had one of the Webley and Scott 20 gauge guns H&R was importing back in the 70's . When they were first imported by H&R Clark a Brothers in Warrenton Va had one in a 28 gauge that I would like to have had . Think it was $800 or do brand new at that time !

The imported guns, particularly 20 and 28, came with nicer wood and engraving. Many were made for a number of retailers (all very solid guns) and just last night I shot this with a friend who had the 20 that was a lot fancier. This 16 was made for Jeffery retailers in Dorchester England.
This one didn't hit the gun fund too hard and with a little hustle and a turn over or two on my part I'll be smelling 20 gauge Parker or Brit.

GMAN,...I have a Webley & Scott M-500 (non-ejector) 1939 PG-DT-SF 6lb-1oz 28" Mod/X-full Not many pistol grip English guns out there. Its has hi stock dimensions and I shoot it well. Gun is 2 3/4 chambers and it came with its proof paperwork that is nice to have with these English maker guns. I have bought and sold many nice SXS guns lately but this one is a hard to find keeper! Is a great long range rooster gun for the big sky out west. A 16 gauge kills like a 12 but carries like a 20...(-: One day I may look for a 28ga. litter mate for it for grouse and doodles. thanks all SXS ohio ....(-:
