Galazan Trunk Cases?

Not sure this is the right place to post this and if not please relocate to the proper forum. Question is what is the general consensus on Galazan's cases?

I've got a two barrel set in the works and I'm looking at their 20 gauge leather trunk case which goes for $770. Question is are they nice cases and how do they compare with other similar cases out there there are made hopefully in the USA (although Italy would be ok). Anyway, if anyone has one I'd like their thoughts on quality and satisfaction. Thanks

Tom:
I'm not sure where the Galazan trunk cases are made. Although I'm fairly sure it is NOT the US.

But to your point, I have a number of them, some in two-barrel configuration. And I'm a fan of these cases. Well made, durable, and they fit. They are also somewhere south of $2000. For my purposes, they are hard to beat.

Sounds like a different case. I was looking at this particular one, which is well south of 2k.

I meant that Galazan cases are considerably less expensive than a Huey case. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

Everything else applies to this case.

Tom, I'm just finishing one up fitting for a 2-bbl. Parker set. Meet me somewhere over the weekend if you want to see it. Personally, I like them except for the straps, which are WAY below quality commensurate with the rest of the appointments of the case. Sturdy and functional, they are laid out so one set of bbls. lies flat and one on its side. Accessories and the heavy mail canvas cover are a big plus. Only fitting necessary are bbl. bumper blocks for the shorter bbl. of the set and the buttstock bumper dimensioned and fit to the gun.

Thanks Kevin,

I'm going to hold off until the NE SXS. They are supposed to have some of those cases there and I'd like take a good look at them. I received an email back from Galazan today and they said these particular cases are made in Italy in India. I prefer the first location strongly. Will you have that particular case up at the NE SXS with you? I'd like to see what adjustments you made. PS. I'll be chasing turkey's over the weekend. That time of the year for me. Have more tags left in my wallet.

Thanks. I don't think he offers a two barrel case that will fit a 32" barrel. Sent him a couple of emails but no response yet.

I bought a case from Jeff's for my 32 inch GH. He has them.

"Sent him a couple of emails but no response yet."

I suggest you PHONE Jeff about a case as well as email.

In my experience, if Jeff has a shortfall, it's a failure to monitor web site orders/email traffic and return phone messages. He's a nice guy when you get through, but don't assume anything when it comes to an order.
