Charles A. King's patents
On the thread discussion about the strengthening rods in the stock I looked for and found a patent entry for it made by Charles King. I found it interesting reading and decided to go off and read more of his patents. I found lots of them and decided it was time to stop but I did get a feel for how things were evolving. I thought about gathering this up for a Parker Pages article but there is just too much and with lots of detail, it would be a volume.
So..... If you are interested, here are a few links to patents made by Charles King for your reading pleasure. Thanks Robin. I had gone to the Google patents page as well and read the "strengthening rod" patent in it's entirety.

That first one might not be our man, seems a bit late in the game.

Destry,
Thanks for catching that. There are a lot of "King" patents and I grabbed that one in error. If anyone is confused by our exchange .... I removed the link that was wrong from my original post. |
