Single Barrel Trap Cocking Hook
When cleaning my SBT after shooting
3 rounds of trap, I noticed that about 40% of the right side of the hook had cleved off. The gun still cocks but I would imagine it will be putting twice the strain on the other side and it would fail. Where would I get another. I know the DelGrego firm does the work but won't just sell the parts Thanks in advance PAT |
You got me on that "cleved" business. Is is chipped or broken or something else?
|
Yes on right side of the hook it's chipped..
I will post picture so all can see better the problem. Thanks |

I would think that it could be welded back to size and then filed to fit.

I am sending to gunsmith in East Ellijay
to see what he can do..if not repairable then I will know size and be on the hunt for another |
Yes, the hook would likely continue to operate just fine for a time the way it is.
But it should be replaced as it is damaged. If you need a replacement, contact me, I have several of them. They are the same as the ones used in the doubles and are the same within most all frame sizes. |
Thanks so much
