Can anyone give me information. This has 3 barrels. SxS 20ga on top, 9.3x72 on center bottom?

You have the spelling incorrect. Imman Meffert was a high grade maker of drillings, Sxs and Combination guns. I believe his son, Max, is still alive and carried on the business for some time. I have had Meffert Drillings, and his actions were unique; not your normal blitz action.

Let me know if you want more data then what is here at the url below. also, it's highly unlikely it's 20 gauge. Have you checked it to see if its not 16 (65mm or 2.5")

I guess having the spelling correct helps. Lesson learned: Don't count on a clerk to write information for you while on spring break and wife and three daughters are waiting.
It is a 16. The gun is in good condition. The stock has been cut, it'll fit my 10 year old nicely. Thanks for the info. I may be asking for more.

For ammo, you can try poly wad vintages in 16x65mm. This is what I use and it works great. I am sure there are others. For the 9.3x72r, you may want to try to find some of the S&B if you can find it. Mefferts are good drillings...Enjoy it.

I don't have it yet. It was shown to me while looking at a Parker, and I just don't know enough about it. It is an interesting little gun.

I kinda like drillings myself ! And I want just one more , something along the lines of 16x16 and 6.5x57R with claw mounts and a decent 2 or 3 to 7 or 9 scope on top . A Krieghoff would be ideal but with these old birds you gotta take what you can find or atleast that's been my luck .

When I looked the gun over here's what I saw: It needs to be cleaned. It's the owner's grandfather's gun and hasn't been shot or cleaned for years. There's some minor oxidation of the action. It needs a spring built for the barrel release. The barrels are nice and clean. The stock was chopped off, I mean chopped, not shortened. The stock is also loose on the gun. So, it'll have to be replaced As I said, it was shown to me while I was looking at a Parker and I didn't pay enough attention to it. He's asking $1200. What do you guys think?

I would pass myself based on having to replace the stock alone. Personally, if I were to only have one drilling, I would look for 8x57 or 7x57 if possible. That's just my opinion.

Plenty of drillings on the auction sites...check them out to get a baseline of what's available.
