1935 Browning skeet gun

I have just acquired a 1935 vintage browning over&under skeet gun. It has a double trigger that works as a single if either is pulled twice. Front trigger fires bottom barrel then top barrel if pulled again. Back trigger fires top barrel then bottom barrel if pulled again.
How rare is this setup and how much would it add or detract dollar wise to the gun? Thanks Gregg

Browning "Twin-Single" triggers on O/U's

I believe that was designed by John M. Browning's son Val. I'm not a O/U man, can't give you any more data then that. Believe FN-Browning discontinued it after WW11 ended and stayed with their single trigger!

Double single trigger Superposed are very coveted by collectors when in high condition and by shooters in any useful condition. What is the serial number of your Super? You can have its origin provenanced at Browning. Most Superposed, even very early ones, have original provenance available.

Serial # 95xx. I think it was bought in 1935 according to the family it came from. It has a solid rib and a Jostam multi-layer pad. Gun is in very nice shape for its age.
Was this or a straight double trigger the only triggers available in 1935?
When did the single trigger come into existence? Was a Jostam pad used by browning in 1935 or did they have their own pad back then?

Browning didn't have a pad that I know of back then. The first generation single trigger was available very early in production. You'll have to read Schwing to find out how early. Your Browning letter of provenance will probably mention the pad if it is factory original.
