First time buying a Parker

I anticipate buying my first Parker at some point in the spring.
I would ask how you go about evaluating a gun before plunking
down the cash. Is there a checklist I should be aware of? I've only
handled 4 or 5 Parkers in my lifetime and would appreciate any
suggestions on what to look for as potential problems with the gun.
It will be hunted and shot often. I don't wish to buy it and have to
ship it off for repairs shortly after purchasing it.

Thanks.

Bobby

Go to the Southern SxS.

Look through the vendor tents. and find guns you are interested in

Ask somebody from the PGCA tent table to look at the gun with you and give you his advise.

Bobby,

There will be quite a few members there with gauges to measure the chokes, chambers, and wall thickness and be glad to do it for you so you don't get burned, as well as copies of the serialization book to help make sure the barrels are not cut if it can be found in the book.

First thing I'd suggest is only buy a gun that fits you, that's paramount in Parkers as far as I'm concerned.
