Strange Repro serial numbers??
Fellow Parker Reproduction enthusiasts,
I have two Parker Reproductions. One is a 12 gauge, the other a 28 gauge. Both of these guns have a serial number starting with the gauge - followed by a five digit serial number. (12-#####) Recently I saw a Parker Reproduction with a serial number listed as P-five digits. (P-#####) Might there be someone out there with experience with this unusual serial number type? ...and what does the "P" mean? Thank you in advance. Steve Kleist, Ely, MN |
There has been speculation that the P represents Prototype.
Richard will probably know for sure. |
Steve, you'll find this previous thread interesting:

Any reason anyone can think of to avoid a "P" series serial number Reproduction regarding functional problems, value, or resale?
Thank you in advance for your candid advice. Steve Kleist Ely, MN |
Steve,
