Hey, my name is Jeff Roberts - I am an engineer working in AZ. I have a couple of Parkers and just recently developed an interest in the history of them.

This is a fantastic site in which to learn!

Pics - everyone likes pics:

The first gun pictured is an 1891 Grade 4 - this is the gun I always used as a kid in CA. It has fluid steel barrels with the original Damascus chambers. It is my favorite gun of all time - nothing else even comes close.

The second is an 1899 Grade 2 that my Dad always had around - it has never been shot as long as it has been in our family due to the barrels.

Welcome Jeff!

Those are very nice Parkers and they are heirlooms!

Welcome Jeff !

Those are very nice Parkers.... especially the CH. Too bad somebody saw fit to sleeve those lovely Bernard barrels. These days, unless composite barrels have been compromised by rust pitting, we shoot them, with appropriate ammo, on a fairly regular basis.

What are the non-Parker stamps on the water table? Are there similar stamps on the barrel flats?

Welcome Jeff. Did you see this thread? Do you know who sent the barrels to Italy for sleeving? Does the gun have Vickers tubes?
