BTFE
How early could a BTFE be ordered on a Parker.Thomas
|
I have one from 1917 (date gun delivered but ordered in 1916. Request for "long full forearm")
It is a proven factory job (for those doubters out there) |
John: Thanks for the reply. I will see if anyone answers with a earlier date. Thomas

According to page 144 of The Parker Story the "beavertail" or trap forend was first cataloged as an option in 1926, however the first gun recorded in the order books to have this beavertail forend was A1S No. 171598 (produced in July 1915) which was noted "Tip extra long and wide - Chamberlain".
Over the years many Parkers went back to Meriden to have the beavertail forend fitted and documentation can be found on some of these guns. |
