Parker Trojan info needed!
recently picked up a Parker Trojan, built in 1921on a 2 frame , those are the things I do know, what I am curious about are the other markings,
on the water table I have the serial number and the grade as OV, what is OV? The barrels have (OV) (HT) (3 15) (12) A B 2 I know the 3 15 B is the barrel weight, but not sure what the other markings are. I used the primative credit card trick for chamber length and it measures the same as my other 2 3/4 12's. I know its not exact but I will be shooting RST 2 1/2 out of it, if I can find a gun smith here downeast I'll stop in and confirm the 2 3/4 chambers. Any help would be great! |
The OV is the symbol for Trojan grade steel barrels. The HT is not fully understood, usually found with HT over A. 3/15 is the unstruck barrel weight. Is the 12 found on the barrel lug? If so, it's a 12ga. I'm not sure of the AB2. Where is it found? Pictures would help.

Save your money and buy low brass 2 3/4
Inch shells...they will work fine...I have many of the dangerous Damascus and twist barell Parkers that I shoot low pressure, 2 3/4 inch shells that I load myself...no problems |
Would the chambers be 2 3/4 from a gun made in 1921? There was a typo the A is under the OV the B under the 3 15 and the 2 is under the 12. Once again guys thank you for the answers!

The seller told me that the chambers on my 1924 16ga Trojan are 2-3/4". I took him at his word; never measured them. I do know I've shot a boatload of 2-3/4" shells through it and it's still in one piece.
