Frank Cronin gets a Band

1 Attachment(s)
The guy formerly known as Big Frank got his first banded bird this morning using a newly acquired Lefever 10ga. Congrats Frank!

Scott Kittredge and I also got birds and mine was also banded.

I sent a text to Bill Janelle to tell him to hurry up and hunt with us, this place is running out of banded geese :rotf:

wow, the bird is almost bigger than Frank. Now I see how you hit it, Now on the wood duck hunt, few more shots out the 10 ga. 1 3/8ths oz 2's and a hen woody

It was another great day hangin' with the NH Boys. Where was Billy???

The weather held up so we didn't get rained on except for a very slight drizzle here and there and very dense fog. We all shot the short 10's this morning. Pete shot his Remington, Scott with his Parker EH, and I shot an early F grade Lefever pivot lever rod cocker weighing in at 9 lbs even. What's interesting with this particular Lefever is that it has a stippled top on the frame and a very pretty concave rib with a full length horizontal lines pattern cut into it. This is the first I've seen personally on a Lefever. I couldn't find any search hits on the Lefever Collector's forum to learn more. She has 30" barrels that patterns 86% in both barrels. She did well!

Below are a few photos from today.

Way to go guys. That Lefever is really nice Frank. Very interesting. You're also wearing my favorite jacket.

Frank, that scarce rib matting pattern seems to be a transition between the plain, unmatted concave rib and the later flat matted rib. I have a ten or two with that pattern. What is your serial number?

look like the only way to get some jewelry is to start hanging out with the nh boys..charlie
