Parker Barrels
 

Can a set of 12Ga. VH parker Vulcan barrels be fitted to a 12Ga parker GH #2 frame, not sure what frame VH came off of? Is $1200 a good price for these barrels? How much would it cost to fit them? Who would I go to for that fit?

Ok After a little more reading the Vulcan barrells came off a #1 frame?

When looking or barrels the frame size is the most important thing. Ejector or extractor. Also finding something as close to your gun's serial number is important.

Fitting is a total crap shoot as to the amount of work needed. Malle need a little. Some need a lot.

I bought the gun on gunbroker last night it is being shipped to me now, it is in pretty bad shape damascus barrels have pits and have been cut to 25" though he says bores are shiny. The stock looks like someone tried to checker it with a knife, the forend is beat up but original, stock possibly is as well. Frame is pretty good with pretty good engraving but has scratches, screws are decent. Add said it was a GHE but further examination after I bid was that it was a GH. Anyway it looks like I got A new project. I would love to find some special steel barrels for 26'' preferably IC/M. But would also like to get damascus barrels cleaned up and rust blued to show fine damascus pattern.

Shiny barrels on a gun that is otherwise not in good shape could indicate that the barrels have been honed to remove pits, etc. Probably a good idea to get some measurements done on the barrel thickness--from breech to tip

Damascus barrels are not "Rust blued"

I am no gun expert of any kind, I did watch a video today on youtube Of Larry Potterfield rust bluing twist barrels and the way he did made the twist show up nice.

In any case I want them done right, if they are even worth it, as I have not seen gun yet. Pictures don't look to good I got the gun cheap but have a feeling maybe I bought an action and forend irons, as they might be the only thing worth saving.

I know the gun. I was watching it thinking of buying it for parts if the price was right, but then I forgot about it.

With the barrels being 25" I would not do anything to them as it would be growing good money after bad. Plus, those looked pretty pitted on the outside, the pitting would likely not polish out safely in order to get a refinish done.

There are SO MANY sellers on gunbroker advertising extractor guns as ejector guns, that if I cannot see a photo proving it to be an ejector gun, I always ask to make sure.
