Nothing Better...

There's nothing better than taking a 132 year old Parker 10 gauge into the field and dropping a nice Long Beard. This gun, named Miss Liddy in honor of my Great Grandmother, was deadly at 30 paces.

Did you take that bird since we saw you at the Southern?

Mike Franzen 05-07-2014 09:04 AM

Yes, I took it this past Sunday in Ohio. It was one of those hunts that had just about everything.

Dean Romig 05-07-2014 09:10 AM

Where in Ohio? I hunt in Jefferson at my cousin's farm.

Good job! I have turkey hunted in Ohio during the Fall season and it is a spectacular place to hunt

Mike Franzen 05-07-2014 12:21 PM

Dean, this hunt was in Clermont County near Williamsburg. It's about 30 miles east of Cincinnati. Where is Jefferson?
Mills, you're right Ohio has some great hunting opportunities. My home state of Kentucky does as well. In some regards it's a paradise! :)

Dean Romig 05-07-2014 12:55 PM

Jefferson is in the Northeast corner about 15 miles west of PA and 25 or so miles south of the Lake.
