"Freakish Drop"
|
yeah I saw that on the other board
i want to see the guy that shot it |
I own a Lefever E grade with one very nice piece of Circassian on it with about 4.5" of drop. Needless to say, it is useless.

For every gun there is a person for it. :)

Looks like somebody took these articles to heart --

Don't discount that "freakish drop" gentlemen. This is/was a very historically important Sterly with compelling provenance. Future DGJ article in the works but I can tell you that the original owner played HB for Notre Dame and later took up residence in Paris. :bigbye:

I think I know that fellow. That sterly was made to shoot from the hip.

Definitely get a letter on that gun - it may have been ordered by Ichabod Crane!
|
Maybe it was ordered by a guy who was blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other.
|
I saw that gun when it was first posted for sale. Nice long description......every detail about the wood and metal finish. Lots of pictures of the receiver and barrels. Not a word about the stock! The poor guy that bought this got took bad.
