very nice

the first one would be great in a clays or skeet match - staring at it could hypnotize your competition

Very very nice. One would never get tire of looking at it.

It does make my specimens look at bit shabby but I don't mind because I just shoot them and keep them in good shooting condition. Great guns !! David

Bruce, in your second picture, what gun is the lower set of barrels from? Serial no. range or year of production please?

calvin humburg 04-12-2014 06:40 AM

Just for clarity, all pattern welded barrels are indeed laminated. We discussed these incredible barrels here http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5520

The top barrels are Herringbone or Toncin

I believe the bottom barrels, if refinished, would have the same pattern

Next PPs but it will get better. One known and maybe one other that somebody thinks he saw or heard about someplace sometime possibly.

Bruce, there is one of those in my safe. Nice unrestored PH gun with less than perfect bores. I have discussed it here, bought it from a young lady at the Baltimore Show some years ago. It is a 28" gun with twin Lyman sights and fishtail lever. Shipped to Salem LeValley in Buffalo, New York in 1892. By 1915 it was in Salisbury, MD from where it was sent to PB for service by a Mr. Taylor. It is serial number 71,179, listed as PT in the SB, and the ninth hammerless 20 according to the Serialization Book, if I didn't miss some. I will be looking forward to your article.
