Church Shoot and Grandsons
2 Attachment(s)
The First Annual Christ Church Cathedral Gentleman's Shoot was held last weekend. Prize for high gun was a bottle of Blanton's and high team was a bottle of Wilett each. About eight teams of four competed. Clay, 11, is to little for a Parker so shot a 5 pound Mossberg pump, Will, 12, shot his great great Uncle Bill's VH and Jackson, 14, and I shared Papa's Trojan. We all shot 3/4 oz 20 gauge loads at 1200 fps and poor little Clay was being worked over pretty good, but persevered. We came in third. I couldn't have been prouder of their shooting, manners and attitude. I have a video of the five stand portion, but not sure how to post it. I did get a picture of Jackson and Clay.

Good job!

Someone help Harry with the posting of his video. Video could be the future of gun forums. Harry, try to get up to the Southern. We miss you. Murphy

Thanks, Bill. I miss seeing you, the Lovely Linda and all the other great friends I feel I have with the PGCA. Someday, when the "big horse" comes in, I can start bringing the boys.

I may have figured out the video...

At the risk of being a Hunter Ed Instructor P-I-T-A, Clay needs to wear his glasses on his face, not his hat. :nono:

John,
You are spot on. I was doing my best to moniter their safety, but failed on that one. As 31 Knot Burk said: when you're up to your ass in alligators it's difficult to remember the initial objective was to drain the swamp. |
