Need help with butt pad...

I ran into a high end sxs made in Belgium. Does anyone know what the numbers are on the butt plate? It is not the serial number.

I have never seen anything like it.

Try posting on the Double Gun site:

Maybe an odometer...:rotf:

Try shooting it and see if the number goes up.

I wonder if it rolls over every 100,000 rounds.

Here are some pictures of the Gun. It was part of a collection of European and American SXS for sale. I did not buy it but had never seen anything like that on a buttplate before...

I believe the gun is Belgian. And quite fine. The "numbers" in the buttplate may be a game counter... if there is some means to activate it.

James Palmer 03-17-2014 06:11 PM

Yes...it is a Lebeau Courally. I did not have the opportunity to shoot it or find a way to activate it. I was not interested in purchasing the gun but curious as to the numbers.

That is one fine gun. It even has quick detachable side locks. Just out of curiosity what is the asking price for this Belgium gun.

James Palmer 03-17-2014 08:51 PM

A lot. Since it is not my gun I would feel uncomfortable quoting prices. But for the four nicer guns the price was in excess of 125k.
