I am proofing spring Parker Pages. Does anyone remember if John T Amber, founder of Gun Digest was the head of the Gun Depatment at Abercrombie and Fitch? Von Lengerke and Antoine? Marshall Fields? in the 1940's?

Yes, John Amber worked for Marshall Fields in the 40's and talked about it in an article in the Gun Digest when reminiscing about gun deals he had made over the years. Very interesting article but I can't put my hands on it right now.
