Shotgun Wedding

Not a Parker but photo from son's wedding gives new meaning to shotgun wedding. He is blessed with a wife who loves to hunt and shoot as much as he does and is a good shot to boot. |
I guess "The Lovely Linda" and I could have posed for such a picture when we married a few years ago in 2005, but her favorite gun is a Krieghoff, so it didn't seem to be worth the effort. My choice of a wedding gun would have been my eight gauge hammer gun.

Great looking couple with the right attitude

Wedding
The grooms gun is pre-war solid rib model 12, brides gun is no.4 stright grip LC Smith with sst.
She shoots the LC well but am a bit concerned with the way she has been staring at my new 20 DHE. |
A friend in California did this. He gave his wife a nice 7mm, she gave him a V grade Parker, his first, and they walked to the altar in his yard with them over their shoulders. He loves his Parker and she has killed some deer and hogs on their mountain ranch with the rifle.

:shock::shock:Saw an article once describing how so many "blown off" toes have occured over the years. The article stated that while spending a day shooting or hunting, the shooter would rest the shotgun (or rifle) muzzle on the top of the boot to protect the muzzle while resting or socializing with fellow shooters. Moments later and a quick lift of the gun and you know what happens next. While reading the article I suddenly remembered how many times I actually did that in the past. Yes, I still have all my toes, but looking at your photos reminded me of the article. No joke, that used to be the number one cause for shotgun and rifle accidents.
I am sure that one is not loaded. Great photo!:bigbye: |
I had one of those. Still have the guns too

'Shotgun Wedding' Bill...

I got a Trojan 20 pictured sometimes on this forum and Julia got a 12 gauge Citori which she shoots regularly.
I have seen leather pads that hook onto your shoe to hold barrels in place when you rest them on your shoe. I have no desire for one |
