Hi from Newbie
Hi All, my name's Noel and I am happy to be amongst you and proud to be a PGCA member.
My brother Kevin extolls the virtues of Parker Bros. guns and has done so for many years, so I finally bought an 1884 grade 2 10 gauge, SN 41762 last Fall. I took it out in the field after shooting 2 trial boxes of RST low-pressure loads at the skeet range.
My other brother Tom invited me to Goose hunt with him last month, so I borrowed his 10 ga Lee loader and found a reduced pressure water fowl load recipe on the web. I rounded up components, and rolled my first hand loads.
We put the decoys out under a gorgeous sunrise. Dawn's flocks and the copious shooting nearby morphed into long morning punctuated by mysterious misses. Then, magically, the noon flight appeared. Tom's calling attracted them while I flagged. We took 3 honkers out of the toll with our vintage Parkers. I managed a double. Memories. This was my introduction to the good old days...
