Hi,

I have been interested in Parker Shotguns for the last 20 years but only recently feel that I have the income to begin collecting. I am looking for the "right" first purchase and would love to know your thoughts. I will probably start with something in the $1500 to $3000 range.

I have a lot to learn!

first welcome jeff...its hard to tell you where to begin collecting parkers not having talked to you...first thing i would probably do is get THE PARKER STOREY set of books they will learn you a lot about parkers..first i must say i m not really qualified to give any advice on collecting parkers..i like any thing of a parker shotgun from a parts gun to shooters to them i cant afford .my way of thinking is if i like it and can afford it..its a collector piece...but there is some fellows here that can give you expert advise on collecting they will pitch in shortly...charlie

Well Jeff you started out right when you joined the PGCA. Watch the for sale section. I don't think you will find anybody misrepresenting any thing. Find something you like and make a purchase. A small warning. Don't percrastranate. Things don't last long.
