CHE Value
What is the value of a 12 ga CHE no. 2 frame, PG stock, with 30" steel barrels in fair condition?
Thanks Ken |
I obviously posted this in the wrong area. How do you move the thread to another area?
|
Ken, that is an almost impossible question to answer without having the gun in hand. At least some high-res in focus pictures may prompt some guesses.
|
Very rough examples have sold for $3-4k.
If that gives you any sort of a worst case scenario. Please post some photos of your gun. Would be nice to see. |
I was looking to buy the gun and the pictures are ok. The guy is in TN and prefers to do a face to face. I'm in CO so I'm waiting to see if he'll change his mind. From the pictures I've seen, there is no case color and the stock has dings/scratches from 80 years of hunting. The screws are still timed and aren't buggered. Engraving looks good and barrel blue is 70%. To me it is a gun in original fair condition.
From what I understand, the configuration (12 ga, 30" barrels, PG stock) is common. I don't the number of CHE grades were made in this configuration. Ken |
What is his asking price?
|
The CHE was made in fewer numbers than any other grade.
|
Brian,
He's asking $3900. Ken |
Very reasonable.
|
Would that be Acme steel ?
