PGCA Election of Directors - Spring 2010
 

John Davis and Larry Frey, Life Members of the Parker Gun Collectors Association, have been nominated to run for election as Directors of the PGCA for the two Director positions beginning new terms in 2010. In accordance with the current Procedure governing the Election of Board of Directors, which addresses the situation when the number of nominees is equal to the number of Directors to be elected, John Davis and Larry Frey will serve as Directors of the PGCA for a period of three years commencing May 1, 2010, their biographical sketches will appear in the Summer 2010 edition of the Parker Pages, and no election of Directors will be held in 2010.

My heartiest congratulations to both of you! Two very highly respected and well-qualified PGCA Life Members who can certainly get the job done. Bravo!

Being on a board can be a thankless job that drains away vast amounts of time, especially when you have another job that you rely on to pay the bills. So congratulations gentlemen but also thank you!

Dave, Thanks for holding off on that tidbit until after they were 'sworn in'. I know, having served as treasurer and BOD member of two different sportsmens organizations for eighteen years. It can be thankless . . . so, lets thank these guys in advance!!

Congrats to BOTH John and Larry!!! I'm certain being on the BOD will have some advantages - but frankly - for the life of me - I have no idea what those might be..??!! :)

I look forward to working with John and the other board members to help the PGCA maintain its position as one of the premier gun collecting organizations in the world. The PGCA and especially the members of this forum have given me so much enjoyment over the last several years that I feel it's time I try to give something back. I'll let you know in three years how wise a decision that turned out to be. Larry
