non-prefix serial #'s
Hello. I have a three digit 20 ga. repro that is sans any prefix whatsoever. All I have seen or read about states they all had prefix's. Is this unusual or rare?

Photos added. The only prefix as you can see is on the barrel stamp. Is this the way they are all marked?

Can anybody enlighten me. Surely somebody who has looked at it can tell me.

Of the Repros that I have seen all have had the gauge prefix and I couldn't hazard a guess as to why yours doesn't..

Thank you Dean. Any other info would be appreciated.

No Prefix on serial number
Hi Kelly, The reason your 20 guage did not have a prefix number on the trigger guard is that is one of the first batch of guns we made. The first order we had the folks at the Winchester factory didn't put the guage number on it. Hope that helps . I am looking for member Kevin Mc Cormick to contact me to fix a leather case Thanks
