info on parker
Hi Folks, just joined the forum, learned 800% more about parkers than i ever knew! i am trying to get some info for a friend who has a parker handed down in her famly, of course the more i read i get intriuged and confused! its a 1915, s/n 171xxx. it says V for grade. i am a little confused is V grade 5 or 0? has 2 sets of barrels one is 29 3/4 and the other is 22 5/8, pretty sure that one is hacked down since the diameters are much thinner than the long barrel both barrels are weight of 3 10 and s/n's match the gun, and are vulcan steel with extractors, the frame is a 1 1/2 looks like a 12 ga to me? not much engraving mostly around the screws on the receiver. anyone care to share any info about this one, what do i have here. its is really good shape both barrels have some darkening. no idea of the value but shes not selling it anyway, would like a rough idea what it could be worth.

a full serial number would let us look for the specs on the gun a V grade was the hammerless replacement of the 0 grade (they went to letters not roman numerals) do the 29 3/4 barrels have a narrow smooth band at the end of the ribs? good clear pictures will help evaluate the gun |

hi,
yes the long barrel has the smooth section, the short does not . also the butt pad is a ranger. i took some pics but between bad lighting and my lack of photography skills don't know if they will help. |
nice gun...charlie
