1883 Grade 0
I just read somebody's post about a Cabelas employee who "Knew" old Parkers were not worth much.
Well I just got my Grade 0 #1 frame 12 ga back from Brian and I'm tickled to death with it. I bought it from a local dealer who had just put it out to see what it would bring. I made an offer to the guy behind the counter and he said "John turned that down earlier today but if you are going to repair it he might sell it to you". He did. By the time the smoke cleared I have about $1250 in it and I think it will be a dandy shooter with an appropriate history. I love to take an old hammer gun to the trap club and have kids wonder "what in the hell is he shooting". I can usually break 22 with one of them. I really love to do it with a drilling.:) |
My best long range duck killer is an 1883 vintage 0-grade 32" twist bbld F/Fuller 12ga hammer gun. Great trap gun too.

That's not the one you use mid winter is it? |

I just got my DH 10 back from Brian and just sent him an 0 Grade hammer gun myself. Also sent the wood/action part of a GH 16. Dale Edmonds is getting the barrels. Post some photos if you get a chance.

I'm going to take it to the trap club tomorrow. I'll try to get some pics then. A #1 frame with decent barrels is worth saving and shooting.

E. D. M Bell could do it but I have had little success in that realm of shooting. Just need more practice.
