But only nailed 3, a fourth was hit and sick but we never recovered him,the last bird was pointed just yards from the pick up ,Heiko was pointing on the downside of the trail about 12 feet ...one step off the trail and the bird blew out so close to me I felt its wings on the back of my coat:shock: ...must've walked right over him !!!,never did see where it headed (too busy cursing )

CH 16 ,Gamebore 7 1/2 shells

It's an original 30 inch Bernard 12 gauge on a #1 frame,I have a set of 28 inch 16 gauge steel barrel's fit to the gun for grouse ,I'll try for better pics

Me too. That is a beautiful piece of wood on that gun.

Nice job Chris:)

Chris I have the same combination but in reverse. My gun is a CHE 16 Bernard with a second set of Bernard ejector barrels in 12ga fitted to it. It is also a #1 frame but unlike yours I can't hit a damn this with it:eek:

I think you need to give it back.

The chokes on the 16 bbls were full and full, when hunting Ptarmigan I seemed to always scratch down a bird on the second shot ,when out for grouse it never worked ...so I opened them both to improved and never looked back

Can't fault you on that Chris. Them scrubapple thicket-dodgers can always use a bit wider pattern.
