Alligator

My friend drew a gator tag for southern coastal South Carolina so this past weekend we went out to find a lizard. From the time we got the first treble hook in him to the time we got him into the boat took about two hours. Back at home around 5am and some gator tail/sausage for dinner in the near future. He was 10'8".

The laws on Gator in Sc are a bit strange. You are not supposed to shoot one until it has been restrained. Some people will cast and try and hook one others will bait a big hook with a coon or chicken and try and get him that way.
Nice gator and they do taste just like chicken:rotf:
