Best place to sell

I have a parker i would like to sell. Any suggestions as to where the best place to list it at?

A Parker? the best place to start is to join PGCA as a member and post a full description with photos and price in the members only section

I was a member for several years, but let it lapse. I still collect parkers, just not a member anymore for reasons i won't discuss here.

Other than here on the forum, I think that a well attended SxS shoot is a good place to sell a quality gun for the highest price. Gun shows are good as well, but you have to find a collector that is willing to pay retail.

List it on one of the free boards www.doublegunshop.com or shotgun world.. Pay sight like gun broker...SXS ohio

You'll get some interest if you rejoin PGCA and list it here. My experience is that our members drive a hard bargain. You'd do better on gunsinternational or Julia's.

I really haven't seen any evidence of that here. What I do see is someone who posts something for sale and then with no bites in a few days he continues to lower his price until somebody (who didn't want the gun in the first place) finally jumps on the low price because he sees where he can make a buck if he flips it.

I think if somebody wants to sell a gun here he should post it for the price he wants for it and stick with that price. If it doesn't sell here then take it to gunbroker or gunsamerica or whatever. Nobody really wants to play the price game. Whenever I want to sell something here I put it up for what I want for it and what I believe it is worth... keeping in mind that I am asking fellow PGCA Members to buy my gun or Parker part and adjusting my price with this in mind. If it doesn't sell here, that's life and I move on.

"For Reasons I Won't Discuss". How about that. Those reasons may have died by now. You may want to check the obituaries.

Why would anybody with an apparent grudge against the PGCA or one of its members come on this forum and ask for help and then tell everyone he has a grudge.

Jimmy, we all see positives and negatives in any organization we join. Sometimes it is justified and other times it isn't. I can tell you this, any negative experiences I have had, real or perceived, are far outweighed by the positive experiences. If you are a Parker collector, you are missing out on a lot by not being a member. It is far more than an opportunity to sell a gun. As I said, it is not the place to get the best price all of the time but you can't beat this place for meeting nice folks who really want to help. You should reconsider and put whatever it was behind you.
