Composite barrel 10 Gauge Ejector Guns
I am just curious, over the years I have seen some fluid steel 10ga ejector guns, mostly PHE's and a DHE. Ejectors came out in the early 1900's when twist steel 10's and damascus 10's were still being built. Does anyone have or has anyone seen a composite barrel Parker 10ga (Grade 1 and 2 in particular) with ejectors? I suspect they would be quite uncommon.

Aside from missing stock books, the Serialization Book will tell you exactly how many ten gauge ejector guns were made in various grades. Unfortunately, most of the missing stock books are in the era that would include ejector tens. Give it a shot and get back to us.

I think I saw one in my collection of decoy catalogs. It would have been in the late 80's or early 90's.I'll check and see if I can find it.I remember because there was a 10 VHE with steel barrels about the same time in a different sale.

A long time friend has a 10 bore VHE with steel barrels. If I remember correctly this gun is one of 3 made.

I have been going through the Serialization Book looking for ejector equipped 10's, looking to find any grade 1 or 2 with composite barrels. I have come to the conclusion an ejector 10 bore is very uncommon.
I found only 13 ejector equipped 10's between 108909 (1902) and 195336 (1921). All but two were grade 3 or higher and only four with composite barrels. I am sure there are some built after this date but 10's were getting few and far between and my eyes tired. 124518 TI4 128627 TI4 128896 D4 129828 D4 135876 D3 155374 TI3 159868 A4 169256 TI3 172577 P2 172578 P2 172579 A4 172580 A4 180446 D3 I did notice another interesting group of guns, ten guns, all 10ga with code DV (Vulcan grade with Damascus Barrels), 173953 to 173962, none of them with ejectors. |
Those ten gauge guns were shipped January 7, 1916 to Iver Johnson Sporting Goods in Boston. The price was $25.00 each. A whole raft of Twist barrel twelve gauges were included on the same order for $22.00 each. These were the Twist barrel Trojans that are so hard to find. Parker Brothers must have been getting rid of composite barrels and making a bulk sale at a discounted price. However, my notes tell me that these are not the cheapest Trojans ever sold by PB. The cheapest I have found were $19.00.
