Parker 10 guage
I have a Parker Double barrel 30 inch 10 guage .Has double hammers and triggers.Serial no.37964 PGCA says it was made in 1883 .It has twist wrote between barrels has a t circled also has j.s c .But there is no other letters or no. for grading by the serial no.Need help?

Your grade mark is on the frame not the barrels. Look above the cerial no on the frame. Post some clear pictures of your gun. Take pics of the barrel flats the frame (water table).
With Twist barrels likely a Quality 1 or 0 which were not usually stamped.

Jeff, you have a 10ga top lever 30" barreled capped pistol grip no extras shotgun. Probably a grade 0. I have a couple of them. they are great shooters. please post some pictures of your gun, especialy the muzzle, water table(where the makers marks are under the barrels) and the stock. How are the barrels? Are they pitted or rusted?
By the way, welcome to the PGCA.:bigbye: |
What would be the value if it is a one or 0 ,It has the shield on it steel but plate,What would the t inside a circle stand for under the barrels
pat dates 1872,1876,1875 ,and serial no.37964 no more markings
T in a circle is not something that would appear on a hammer gun of that grade. Look closer and you will likely see that the T is within an upper crescent and a lower crescent. That is the stamp for Twist Steel barrels.
what does the t inside the circle mean below the barrel
that is correct thank you. Also has a c above that what is it
