Don't know if it was bad luck or their achilles heel but within the first few days of shooting my first two Rem's the top lever return spring broke. Stephen Hutton, Britannia Arms in Portsmouth NH did the repair on both without issue. There is a man named Terry Deem on the Doublegun BBS who seems quite knowledgeable and said he has collected at repaired them for 40 years. I believe Brad Bachelder will also work on them. Hope this helps. http://www.wisnersinc.com/additional...ngtonDblID.htm |
Terry is the man when it comes to the SXS Remingtons, and a real nice guy to boot.

A very crispy M1900 was advertised at auction lately on the internet. It sold for a very attractive low price. You guessed it. It was an 1894, which made it even more "crispy". Anyone see it?

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=352974002 Again if this is the same gun and "crispy" means nice original condition I would say look again. I am pretty sure it's restock. Checkering pattern, nose of the comb and POW grip do not look to be correct. Again maybe there was another '94 advertised as a 1900. |
