6 Attachment(s)
Greetings to all,
Like most newbies in this forum I have come across a parker shotgun from a relative and am looking for some more information than I can acquire over the internet. What I can ascertain is the following: Serial Number: 214536 All matching Year 1925 Gauge: 16 VH Grade? Frame size 1? Barrel Vulcan steel The mother of pearl accent was custom work not done by parker? There are some more lettering on the barrel and frame. I can not figure out and last but not least the value for insurance reasons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Michael |
Welcome Michael
What is the barrel length? I wonder if the inlays are there to cover the stock being pinned. Pins to repair a stock split are not unusual. |
Barrel length is 29 3/4

Contact member Kevin McCormack. he has similar inlays on his A Grade Parker. they may be family guns.
|
Thanks Dean Any idea on value??
|
Without having the gun in hand it is difficult to evaluate a gun accurately.
|
Thanks again dean. I pmed him

$1500. The inlays covering the assumed stock repairs are a bit of a minus. The era of manufacture and the nominal 30" barrels are a plus. If the barrels do not show a tiny blank space on the rib matting at the muzzle end, they may have been trimmed a bit. If the blank space is evident, they were probably made at the stated length.

Michael, You could join the PGCA and order a letter on this great gun. The cost of an annual membership is $40.00 and a research letter with membership is $40.00 other wise a research letter will cost you $100.00. Plus there are many great advantages to becoming a member of the PGCA not least of which is Parker Pages our quarterly journal and our members only buy/and sell forum.
Come on Bill tell the whole story....:) |
