Weep Holes

Are weep holes normal on Remington Parkers? Gerald

Dave Suponski 06-14-2013 03:10 PM

Yes sir. They are.

On Remington Parkers produced after production was moved to Ilion, NY (APROX. SN 241156), will have a weep hole in the barrels bottom rib (just in front of the forend loop). Remington Parkers produced prior to the move in Meriden, CT, did not have the weep hole. (Page 161, THE PARKER STORY)

Very true Ralph. Thanks for correcting my previous post.

Gerald McPherson 06-17-2013 08:42 AM

Were they hot blued or rust? Thanks.

Ralph English 06-17-2013 09:31 AM

Gerald, "Rust" blued in Meriden, CT. "Hot-salt bluing process, or some process which required temperatures in excess of boiling water ..." in Illion, NY.
