New to forum, Parker question
5 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
I am looking at Purchasing a Parker from a gal who is selling her Grandfathers gun (crazy, I know!) I am so impressed with the information and help offered here. I am hoping you can help me with a few questions. What I think I know is that it is a 1909 grade 3 shotgun, 1 1/2 frame size, titanic steel, 28 inch barrel, grade PH, with ejectors. It is in very good condition and so beautiful!! Original stock, all though a few dings of course. I actually like the wear cause that is it's story :) One question is value of course. Second what is the DHE, VHE I keep seeing mentioned?? I don't see any thing relating to these initials on the gun. Thank you, Patti Jo Attachment 25235 Attachment 25236 Attachment 25237 Attachment 25238 Attachment 25239 |
Patti, the gun you picture is a DHE grade gun. The grade is stamped on the water table of the receiver as DH. The "E" is inferred by the presence of automatic ejectors rather than plain extractors. This is a very nice looking gun!

Welcome Patti Joe,
First, you are required to use your full name on this forum. Second, that is one nice DHE you are hoping to buy. My suggestion to get a comparable price is to search out Guns America, Guns International, and Gun Broker, just to name a few to get an estimate on price. It's certainly, if not altered, worth a considerable amount of money. I would urge you, if you buy the gun, to become a member of the PGCA for $40 and then request a research letter on this DHE for another $40. A non-member research letter is $100.00 Good luck in your purchase. |
Thank you! I was looking for a DHE mark. With what research I have done it has the split ejectors, or so I thought. The research letter is a great idea, thank you. Are you comfortable giving me a ball park estimate. They want $3200.00 for the gun.
Thank you so much, I can easily see how Parker's can be addictive. I may be in trouble :0) Patti Jo Beal |
Looks like a very good deal to me...just my opinion

Patti, it is always hard to value a gun from pictures alone. Having said that, from the pictures alone it would seem you may be on to a very nice Parker at a very attractive price. Good luck!

Looking at the pictures, I would take a chance at it for $3200.
