A reminder to be thinking of who you believe deserves the Distinguished Service Award this year. It will be awarded to two recipients at the PGCA Annual Meeting & Banquet in September in Rhode Island.

Nominations should be submitted to either Chris Lien csl@spro.net or Robin Lewis rwvlewis@myfairpoint.net or myself dsromig@aol.com

But an even better way to make your nominations is to go to our homepage and click on the awards button in the column on the left.

Please give us the full name of your nominees, as well as a couple of sentences why you believe these people are deserving of this prestigious award.

You are not limited to just one nomination - nominate as many as you care to but there will be only two awards presented unless there is a tie for either of the two, in which case three awards will be presented.

There are only about two weeks to go until we have to close the nominations for this year.

So if you haven't sent one in yet please do so soon.

Please keep them coming though, because nominations are cumulative for three years so if a nominee falls a bit short for one year he is still in the running for the next two.

We received two new nominations yesterday.... keep them coming!

Dean, please remind us where to find the list of previous inductees. Maybe my three guys got the award in the three or four years since I nominated them.

Bill, at the main PGCA web page www.parkerguns.org, click on "Awards & Recognition" on the left side and on that page you will find a link to the "Honor Roll" to see who has received the award and a link to a "nomination form" to submit a name.

Less than one week to go.

We will close the nominations for this year at 12:00 midnight, on Tuesday, September 17.

Any nominations that come after that time will accumulate toward the 2014 Distinguished Service Award.

Last Call... The 2013 Distinguished Service Award nominees will be tabulated at midnight tonight.

The awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting Banquet on Friday, Sept. 27.
