Rib question

I have a set of 10 gauge bbls that came off a 2 frame lifter. They need a rib. Will a 12 gauge rib fit if it's from a 2 frame as well, or does it have to be a 10 gauge rib? Does frame size matter? Thanks

2 Frame barrels from a 12 and a 10 should share similar contours especially near the breech but they probably differ forward of the chambers for the next 12 - 15 or so inches.

It is pretty likely a 12 ga. rib from a 2 Frame will fit 10 ga. barrels from a 2 Frame.

Please let us know how it works out.

Mike, have you found a rib? Contact me if you have not. I may have something for you. From a twist 10g top action. Dolls head would need to be removed, but it is not matted.

I sent you a PM Brian

Dean I'll let you know what turns out with these bbls. They came from a 10ga wreck and I'm going to try to bring them back to shootability.

I didn't want to start a new thread but I have a question: will an extractor from a 2 frame 12 gauge fit a 2 frame 10 gauge?

NO yOU WILL HACE TO FIND A 10 GA EXTRACTOR. The shell dia. are different.
