Had this beauty hanging out by the lodge Friday. A Cecropia moth, the largest native North American moth otherwise known as the giant silk moth.

In my teens I used to catch and collect moths and butterflies and spread their wings and dry them and display them in glass cases. I'm not being a smartass but just pointing out the differences.

All I have to say on this matter is either 410's or if you really wanna be sporting Winchester Model 61 pumps using rat shot :whistle:

Takes too many to make a meal.

Not if you stuff them with crabmeat. It's a Maryland thing.:)

Caught one for my insect collection in HS also. Only kid that had one!
