Montana Grouse and Huns
6 Attachment(s)
I just spent a week out west hunting Sharpies and Huns, with a few dove thrown in for fun. I decided to take my Parker 20 and 28, neither of which had been fired in over 30 years, and I had never hunted with either. I had them both checked out and took a few practice shots at some clays in preparation. I did not have any expectation, as I was relatively unfamiliar with how either performed or how I would like shooting them.
Well, it was a magnificent week and I love these guns! I used one or both guns every day and pulled the triggers a lot! It took a while to get used to the double triggers, but I got past user error and killed many birds with each gun, and filled out my limit many days. A few photos that may interest you with guns, dogs and friends. Information on my Parkers, also shown on my introduction profile: 1926 Parker 20 gauge, 219441, DHE, grade 3, Titanic Steel, 28" barrel, frame size 0, barrel weight 3, 2 3/8" chambers. Sounds awesome. Love the ECS in the mix.

Another hunting trip on my list! Looks like a lot of fun.

The cocker is a great little flusher. And our most reliable retriever. Very strong dog.

Good times! Have been thinking about hitting eastern Montana or N. Dakota, then to the UP for a couple weeks before heading back home to WV.

Looks and sounds like an awesome time, congratulations.
