20 gauge loads on a MEC

I have just gotten back to reloading . I am using an old MEC 650 which is a manual progressive loader . I’m loading 7/8 oz of number 8 shot , and a 21 powder bushing with Unique powder . The 4 loads i tested range from 1054 to 1080 FPS . I think i want to get to at least 1125 FPS . Any thoughts on what speed to shoot for . Thanks Tracy Pellett

First off Tracy, how many grains of Unique are you throwing? I'd shoot for somewhere between 1150-1200fps.

Need to know what hull and wad you are using. Your answer lies here.

I am using Winchester aa shells , claybuster CB1078-20 wads and Remington 209 primers.
I know I need more powder and have a 22 & 23 bushing on the way . Thanks for your replies. I was thinking 1125-1175 fps . Ill let you know my new speeds next week. Ill weight the powder too.
